Sensory Integration/Diet Intervention

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats sensory motor delays related to sensory integrative dysfunction, autism, pervasive developmental disorder, asperger's syndrome, and behavioral problems. Educates parents/care takers, schools, and daycares in strategies to provide the child with appropriate sensory input. Children approximately 8 years old and up are taught the "How Does Your Engine Run?" Alert Program to self intitiate a sensory diet. Explores modifications to child's environment to assist with sensory diet. Provides sensory integrative techniques for sensory regulation.

Aiding Development

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats fine motor development delays related to the natural development process. Educates parents/care takers, schools and daycares in the sequential growth of fine motor development. Promotes home programming to address continued accelerated growth in the fine motor area.

Daily Living Strategies

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats activities of daily living deficits related to cognitive delays, physical impairment, learning disabilities, apraxia, neuromuscular impairment, and development delays. Provides appropriate functional and activity based treatment to meet the needs of each individual child. Explores alternative assistive devices and modifications to assist activities of daily living. Communicates with parents/care takers, schools and daycares as needed.

Handwriting Problems

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats handwriting problems related to dysgraphia, dyslexia, learning disabilities, physical impairment, visual motor delays, and visual perceptual delays. Provides guided handwriting instruction for both print and cursive. Explores alternative assistive devices and modifications to supplement handwriting. Communicates with parent/care takers, schools and daycares as needed.

Fine Motor Coordination

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats fine motor coordination problems related to developmental delays, apraxia, learning disabilities, physical impairment, cognitive delays, neuromuscular impairment, and hand injuries. Provides appropriate functional and activity based treatment to meet the needs of each individual child. Explores alternative assistive devices and modifications to assist fine motor coordination. Communicates with parents/care takers, schools and daycares as needed.
